With the correct use of the language, spoken and written, a person can influence minds and move hearts. He can climb the corporate ladder and be the center of attraction at social gatherings.
We at ACL (American Center for Languages) are well aware of the power of the English language. The grandeur and magnificence of this language is taught to the students in interactive and innovative ways. We have state-of-the-art facilities and technology to make learning easy and fun! While we do use pedagogy (Teacher centered) to some extent in our teaching, we also realize that most of our students are adults and we therefore primarily focus on andragogy (Learner centered) as the better way to create learning experiences. It is all about putting the learner in the driving seat.
We are practical! After all that’s what our learners’ want! We use group discussions, role- plays, debates, elocution, story narration, presentations and other highly interactive learning methodologies to build confidence in our students. At the same time we never lose focus on grammar, vocabulary-building and proper diction as the true building blocks for the mastery of the language.
ACL believes that learning and bonding go hand in hand. To make learning fun and appealing to its students, ACL formed the “2 P.M. club”. This is essentially a time between 2 P.M. and 4 P.M. every working day where students and faculty interact with each other by playing games like Spell-a-thon, scrabble, hangman, solving word puzzles, doing crosswords, watching English movies, clarifying doubts, improving pronunciation, creating rhyming words, etc. This unique initiative underscores two important ACL Values: it fosters and ensures Teamwork and drives ACL towards Continuous Improvement.
